This CGI soap ‘statuette’ was created for the 2010 Grooming Award article in Esquire magazine. We approached this in much the same way a traditional sculptor would, whittling the figure away from a digital ‘block’ & refining the figure in increments. Unlike a traditional sculptor we never have to worry about shaving too much off and once finished we can replicate the look of any material, in this case blue soap with a few bubbles & disturbing hairs thrown in for good measure!
